Overview The Department of Physics has an opening for a Graduate Hourly position for the remainder of the Fall 2022 semester at approximately 10 hours per week. This will transition to a Graduate Assistant 25% (10 hours/week) appointment for January 1, 2023 to May 15, 2023. The duties include administrative work in the Main Office. Responsibilities Schedule and publicize department events Update online department calendar and Facebook profile Order, track, and check-out department keys Process incoming graduate applications and maintain applicant files Assist with tracking and maintaining directory information Monitor website for necessary updates Provide administrative support to the Accounting Office and the Main Office staff Assist in overall bookkeeping of departmental financial accounts Maintain the Purchasing Database (Excel) File accounting documents Financial ledgers reconciliation Manage office deliveries Assist in biannual Property Accounting inventory Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned Requirements UIC graduate student in Fall 2022, graduating Spring 2023 or later.
