Included is the operation of automated production equipment, primary diagnosis of machinery failures, aiding with preventative maintenance, and sanitation of equipment. Operators are expected to be competent to make production decisions concerning the preflight and operation of equipment. Operators must be flexible and adaptable, as they may be required to rotate job assignments throughout production. In addition, it is the responsibility of the operator to contribute to the maintenance of a safe work environment for themselves and their fellow operators. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality, and/or quality.Rising to the Challenge: Position ResponsibilitiesPosition Responsibilities/Major Duties:Checks production work schedules for job assignment and work reporting time.When job assignment is SCALER/DIVIDER OPERATOR, responsibilities include but are not limited to:Checks and maintains production schedule.Scales ingredientsLoads, operates and unloads mixer(s)Operates dough pumpChecks posted scaling weights and equipment standardsAdjusts and operates one pocket and six pocket dividersAdjusts and operates rounderAdjusts and operates overhead prooferPerforms start-up/shut down sanitation and operator's preventative maintenanceEnsures that work area is clean and organizedPerforms other duties as directed by supervisionEnsures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, etc.)When job assignment is WRAPPING OPERATOR, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Checks production schedule and verifies product running order.Checks pan count sheet for product quantity.Check production wrap count sheet for bag types.Sets and operates slicer, bagger, and tier equipmentPerforms quality control inspection of finished productEnsures that product is loaded correctly.Performs start-up/shut down sanitation and operator's preventative maintenanceEnsures work area is clean and organizedPerforms other duties as directed by supervision.Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, etc.)When job assignment is PALLETIZER, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Checks production schedule and verifies product running order.Checks to ensure that the proper program is running.Checks pallets, slip sheets, etc. for quantityPerforms start-up/shut down sanitation and operator's preventative maintenanceEnsures work area is clean and organizedPerforms other duties as directed by supervision.Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, etc.)Similar responsibilities apply when assignment is ROLL LINE OPERATOR, BOARD MONITOR, RETARD BOX MONITOR.All employees will be responsible and accountable for insuring the quality and safety of every function and all products.Knead to Know: Preferred QualificationsTwo years related bakery or production experienceEssential Job RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalencySalary Range- $24.35 with 90 day increase to $25.70. Opportunity for an additional $2/hr. for nights and weekends.
