Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care in the PACU following established standards and the nursing process.
- Monitor post-anesthesia recovery, including vital signs, airway management, pain control, and readiness for transfer.
- Collaborate with the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and other disciplines to coordinate patient care.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across multiple levels; delegate appropriately and ensure safe, efficient workflow.
- Participate in discharge planning, provide patient and family education, and document care in the chart using the facility’s electronic medical record system.
- Maintain a safe, healing environment with adherence to infection control and safety protocols.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (Oregon) or as required by the state of assignment
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- BSN preferred
- EPIC and Cerner experience preferred for backfill roles
- Ability to work in a rural, critical access hospital setting

Education and Certifications
- Nursing degree; BSN preferred
- Licensure: RN licensure in state of practice
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS required
