Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled professional for a temporary position with the potential for permanent conversion. This role involves managing critical accounting functions and ensuring the financial integrity of our operations. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in financial reporting and serve as the primary point of contact for the agencies we service.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit journal entries for one or two agencies.
• Conduct monthly account reconciliations and analyses.
• Close the books of the agency each month and manage the financial reporting package.
• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for the agencies being serviced.
• Work in a fast-paced environment during the close and meet published deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role is a plus.
• Experience in a shared service center environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of the D365 ERP system is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

The position is based in our Jersey City office, with a requirement for employees to be in the office three days a week. While this is a temporary position, we offer some flexibility but aim to adhere to the same policies as our full-time employees.
