Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of mechanical design and project experience
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or related degree
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience in creating drawings for manufacturing, customers, prototypes, etc.
- Project management experience bringing products to market
- Customer facing communication with design and quality engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, construction, agriculture, or industrial machinery industries
- Familiarity with electronics lab equipment and reading detailed electrical schematics
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems
- Familiarity with machining, manufacturing, and automation systems
- Familiarity with brushless DC motor control
- Familiarity with UL, ISO, and similar standards
Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and oversee projects including development of prototypes, scaling products to production, and providing manufacturing support
- Lead design reviews for new product development
- Develop and perform validation testing procedures on mechanical and electronic systems
- Generate engineering documentation for all stages of product development
- Work with suppliers to purchase and qualify components
- Participate in failure analysis and root cause determination
- Lead certification testing (UL, CE, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time, onsite
Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 annual salary DOE
