Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) position is available in a regional healthcare facility located in south central Kentucky. This role involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients, including full-term, early-term, and pre-term infants, within a state-of-the-art hospital environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced healthcare professionals to contribute to a high-volume, advanced neonatal program. Job Details: Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE, and Basic Life Support (BLS); minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or higher; at least 1 year of experience is considered sufficient. Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, scheduled during days. Additional Information: This role involves attending all deliveries, performing initial resuscitation, and managing neonatal care for a patient population that includes neonates with diagnoses such as NAS/NOWS, TTN, IV antibiotics administration, Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and feeding management via OG/NG feeds. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:2-1:3 and employs Meditech/GE Centricity electronic health records. Candidates are expected to provide a minimum of two weekend shifts per month, with no call requirements.
