Job Title Travel RN – Special Care Nursery / NICU (Level 2) Location Somerset, Kentucky Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 2 Weekend Shifts Per Month | No Call Requirements Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in an 8-bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery, including full-term, early-term, and pre-term neonates Manage common neonatal diagnoses and treatments including NAS/NOWS, TTN, IV antibiotics, Bubble CPAP, and OG/NG feedings Attend deliveries and initiate and manage NRP resuscitation as needed Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3 in accordance with unit standards Document patient care accurately using Meditech and GE Centricity EHR systems Float to Mother/Baby Postpartum unit as required Required Qualifications Active RN license in good standing (Kentucky or compact state eligibility) Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery or higher-level NICU Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required prior to start Current STABLE certification required prior to start Current BLS certification required prior to start Travel candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility location Preferred Experience / Skills Experience attending deliveries and independently leading NRP resuscitation Mother/Baby couplet care or postpartum nursing experience Familiarity with Meditech and/or GE Centricity electronic health record systems Why Join Us Work within a state-of-the-art acute care facility serving a large multi-county region in south central Kentucky, supported by a robust medical staff across 38 specialties Gain experience in a specialized neonatal unit with guaranteed weekly hours and a structured, supportive clinical environment Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 769177.
