Make an Impact – Be part of something bigger and help shape our future. Job Summary The Payroll Specialist will process weekly payroll and maintain employee time records. Duties & Responsibilities Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information. Process weekly timecards using payroll software, handling calculations, and ensuring accurate posting and updates. Maintain accurate and confidential payroll files, employee records, time records, and supporting documentation for records retention policies, audits and regulatory inquiries. Partners with the Controller and Senior Payroll Specialist to facilitate seamless departmental processes and uphold labor compliance standards. Support payroll audits (internal & external) by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries. Perform additional payroll or administrative duties as needed to support accounting department. Skills and Abilities Excellent organizational and communication skills Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in large volume data entry Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software. Ability to maintain confidentiality as appropriate to the position. Ability to multi-task Knowledge Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing Prior experience processing high-volume weekly payroll a plus. Experience with LCPTracker, Elations, or other certified payroll platforms a plus. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
