Payroll Specialist

The ideal candidate will have construction industry experience and be able to do in-house payroll. If you are interested in more details about this wonderful new job opportunity please apply now!Key ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.Manage certified payroll reporting in compliance with prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, and other governing regulations.Validate timecards, job costing codes, deductions, and wage tables.Maintain employee payroll records, benefits deductions, garnishments, and multi-state tax requirements.Prepare payroll-related reports for management, auditors, and government agencies.Collaborate with HR, project managers, and field supervisors on payroll discrepancies.Participate in internal and external payroll compliance audits.Qualifications2–5+ years of payroll experience, preferably within a construction, trades, or general contracting environment.Strong understanding of certified payroll, prevailing wage requirements, and union agreements.Proficiency in Sage 300 is a plusHigh attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.Ability to manage high-volume payroll and strict deadlines.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferredEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to California Fair Chance ActLos Angeles City Fair Chance OrdinanceLos Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for EmployersSan Francisco Fair Chance OrdinanceIf you have the qualifications above and are interested in this opportunity – please apply today!
