Registered Nurse (RN) – 6A Acute Care for Elderly (ACE) Day Shift (Hours: 7a-7p) Weekends & Holidays per the department guidelines.Newark, DEChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, DE, is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) passionate about caring for the elderly to join the 6A - Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit. Unit Overview 6A is a dedicated medical unit that cares for patients facing a range of challenging health conditions. The patient may arrive with serious surgical issues, such as fractured hips, or they may be recovering from a stroke. Other common conditions include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), back pain, and urinary tract infections (UTIs). In addition to these immediate medical concerns, many patients may also have underlying issues like dementia, which adds complexity to their care and requires a compassionate, comprehensive approach from the medical team. Education & Requirements DE RN License or a Compact Nursing License is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Candidates with an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) must obtain a BSN within three years of the hire date. All registered nurses (RNs) must have one year of experience in an inpatient hospital setting. A demonstrated passion for working with older adults is essential. Gerontology Certification preferred. BLS required. Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
