Job Summary:

Responsible for performing blood bank and micro laboratory tests with accuracy and efficiency. Ensures quality control and proper specimen handling, supporting diagnosis and treatment through precise analytical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform analyses on blood and body fluids using manual and automated methods following established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Prepare, identify, and log specimens accurately, ensuring proper patient and test information.
  
  
• 
  Maintain quality control standards and repeat procedures when results appear inconsistent or abnormal.
  
  
• 
  Assist in training technical staff and participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance activities.
  
  
• 
  Troubleshoot instrumentation and procedural issues promptly to ensure continuous workflow.
  
  
• 
  Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, checking instrument performance daily and managing inventory effectively.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid certified MT or MLS credential with ASCP, AMT, NCCLS, or equivalent certification.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety, infection control, and quality assurance.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
  
• 
  Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and colleagues.
  
  
• 
  Be adaptable to learning and implementing new procedures or technologies.
  
  
• 
  Possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in medical technology or a related field.
