Senior Corporate Accountant

Kforce is working with a growing private company to identify a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their accounting team in Phoenix, AZ.Summary:This role will play a key part in supporting the month-end close, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations as the business continues to scale.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, digging into the details, and partnering cross-functionally. The Senior Corporate Accountant will be a hands-on contributor with visibility into leadership and the chance to grow with the organization.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly journal entries, account reconciliations, and close schedules
• Support the month-end and quarter-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financials
• Assist with internal financial reporting, flux analysis, and variance explanations
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, and other internal teams to support reporting needs and business initiatives
• Support external audit requests and help maintain strong accounting documentation
• Assist with technical accounting research and policy application as needed
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiency as the company grows

• 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally a mix of public accounting and private industry
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Experience working in a growing or changing environment where adaptability is important
• Solid Excel skills and comfort working with ERP systems
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred, but not required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
