Take on a rewarding contract opportunity as a School-based Physical Therapist, supporting early intervention programs and making a meaningful difference in the lives of young children in the Roseburg and Douglas County areas. As a key member of an education-focused team, you'll primarily visit homes to deliver critical therapy services, helping children reach key developmental milestones. With a start date as soon as possible and a contract running through June 2027, you can make a long-term impact while working independently in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with credentials valid for schools in Oregon
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based or pediatric physical therapy
  • Comfort with providing early intervention services and traveling to family homes
  • Knowledge of best practices for supporting young children with developmental delays
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Adaptability for consulting in early childhood special education (ECSE) settings as needed
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to infants and toddlers, primarily in their home environment
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' mobility and functional needs
  • Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with program requirements
  • Offer limited consultation to ECSE programs within the county
  • Manage a schedule of 40 hours per week, traveling primarily within Roseburg and to other Douglas County locations as needed

This is a single full-time opening, offering the chance to make a tangible, positive impact in early childhood intervention. If you are a proactive, compassionate PT ready to embrace a flexible, meaningful school-based role, we encourage you to apply today and lend your expertise to support children and families in the community!
