The Head Start Quality & Data Specialistat CHCCAA plays a crucial role in advancing our mission to expand opportunities and build self-sufficiency for our community members. This position has responsibility for ensuring program compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and other regulatory requirements by conducting regular site visits, monitoring classroom quality, and providing recommendations for improvement. This role supports continuous quality improvement by assessing program effectiveness, analyzing monitoring data, identifying areas for enhancement, and collaborating with staff to maintain high standards of service for children and families. The ideal candidate will use their skills to embody our values and contribute to our vision of a thriving, self-sufficient community.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Program Monitoring & Compliance Conduct routine classroom and site visits to assess compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, state licensing, and agency policies. Utilize monitoring tools and checklists to evaluate program quality, safety, and service delivery. Document findings, provide feedback to staff, and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Assist with preparation for external monitoring reviews and audits. Quality Improvement & Data Analysis Collect and analyze monitoring data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for program improvement. Generate reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing compliance findings and program performance. Use data insights to support decision-making and inform quality improvement strategies. Track corrective action plans and measure the impact of implemented improvements. Training & Collaboration Work closely with teachers, site managers, and leadership to enhance program quality. Provide training and coaching to staff on compliance, policies, quality standards, and data utilization. Stay informed of regulatory changes and communicate updates to program staff. Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning efforts. Required Education, Skills and Experience: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Data Analytics, Social Services, Public Administration, or a related field preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, program compliance, quality monitoring, or data analysis within Head Start or a similar setting Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and state childcare regulations Strong observational and assessment skills Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, ChildPlus, or similar systems Strong computer skills with proficiency in database systems and Microsoft Office Applications Required Job Competencies CAA Core Competencies: Passion for service to the community Compassion for others – empathy, respect, caring, kindness Collaboration and teamwork Commitment to continuous improvement Position-Specific Competencies: Organization – able to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Communication – able to effectively exchange information with others through verbal, nonverbal, and written methods Interpersonal - can effectively interact, communicate and build positive relationships with others Customer service - willingness and ability to provide high-quality support, assistance and solutions wherever needed Problem-solving - can effectively recognize, assess and resolve issues Analytical skills - able to compile, assess and act on data Other Requirements: A valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance must be maintained. Working Conditions: Work Location - 1740 Langdon Farm Road, Cincinnati, Ohio* Work Hours – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday* Onsite work is in a typical office environment This position is eligible for remote work up to two days per week, defined by department schedules, assuming all eligibility and performance criteria are met and maintained.Hybrid work is not guaranteed and may be withdrawn or changed at management discretion. Planned and unplanned travel to and from Head Start Center and other C-HCCAA or meeting/conference locations, including overnight and/or out of town travel may be required.
