Anatomic Pathologist/GI - Duarte, CA

City of Hope Medical Group is seeking an Academic Gastrointestinal Pathologist to join our clinical faculty at the flagship campus in Duarte, California. The role focuses on diagnostic pathology services for digestive system cancers, translational and clinical research, and education of fellows, residents, and students. Position Highlights Diagnose pathology of digestive system cancers to support clinical care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists. Provide digestive system pathology expertise via digital pathology across the COH national network. Develop and support translational and clinical research in gastrointestinal cancers. Teach and mentor fellows in the ACGME‑accredited programs. Position Benefits Excellent benefits package, including a generous retirement contribution plan. Relocation assistance may be available. Base Salary Range: $310k to $480k. (Base compensation excludes incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted based on experience, training, hospital/community needs, and other factors.) Qualifications MD or equivalent medical degree and unrestricted California medical license. Specialty experience in gastrointestinal pathology (Anatomic Pathology). Preferred academic record consistent with Assistant or Associate Professor appointment. Fellowship training in gastrointestinal pathology and experience in diagnosing complex gastrointestinal cancers at an academic cancer center is highly preferred; additional subspecialty experience desired. Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with gastrointestinal medical and surgical oncologists and researchers. Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence through active teaching, mentorship, and meaningful contributions to scientific advancement and translational research.
