Hybrid Finance Manager Role

Finance Manager -US - Hybrid role that allows working remote 2 days a weekLocation: Louisville, KY Reports To: Group Finance Director Position Overview The Manager of Accounting & Finance is responsible for supervising the financial operations of the organization, including financial reporting, compliance, and essential financial procedures. They will be reporting to the Group Finance Director based in Europe, with the U.S. headquarters recently established in Louisville, KY, indicating expansion plans.This role is crucial for leading accurate monthly financial closure, overseeing cash flow projections, supporting strategic financial planning, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role involves collaborating across operations, engineering, and executive teams to offer financial insights into project performance, capital investments, and overall business performance. Key Responsibilities Financial Close & Reporting: - Lead and oversee the monthly financial closure process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting - Prepare and examine journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations - Manage Blackline reconciliations and system uploads - Generate monthly financial statements and reports with detailed analysis - Deliver financial results to leadership and contribute to monthly review sessions Forecasting, Cash Flow & FP&A: - Manage the 13-week cash flow forecast and continuous liquidity analysis - Assist in monthly rolling forecasts and budget revisions - Analyze discrepancies between actuals, forecasts, and budgets - Offer valuable financial insights and recommendations Compliance, Tax & Regulatory Reporting: - Ensure adherence to tax and regulatory obligations - Supervise the preparation and submission of returns and reports - Maintain relationships with external consultants and auditors Project & Capital Accounting: - Coordinate with engineering and operations to manage CAPEX and project budgets - Track project costs and timelines - Manage asset capitalization processes Process Improvement & Systems: - Recognize and execute process enhancements - Drive automation and efficiency in financial systems Leadership & Collaboration: - Offer oversight and direction to accounting personnel - Act as a primary financial collaborator for operations and leadership Qualifications Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - CPA preferred -MBA a plus
