Under the general direction of the Assistant Chief of Operations, the Chief of Plant Operations III serves as the Central Plant Operations Manager and is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing plant operations and maintenance for approximately 26 state-owned/leased buildings. This position provides technical leadership over complex mechanical systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, steam boilers, and specialized systems, and ensures compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory standards (Titles 8, 19, 22, 24, NFPA).

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.

This position may require travel.
