Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves providing care on a Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with a focus on ventilator and tracheostomy management, sepsis treatment, trauma care, and stroke recovery. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
• Specialty: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN License, Associate Degree or Certificate, BLS and ACLS certificationsAHA or ARC, at least 2 years of experience with stepdown/intermediate/PCU care, ventilator and trach experience, charting experience with EPIC preferred, at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Preferred Qualifications: ICU experience, trauma Level II certification, Bachelor's Degree
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend and holiday, minimum 36 hours weekly
• Additional Information: The unit is a stable, high-acuity environment with patient ratios of 4:1, managing various complex cases such as sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedics, spinal cord injury, and stroke. Heavy telemetry, stable ventilator and trach management, with a need for resilient, quick, and independent professionals.
• Float Requirements: All inpatient units, as needed, typically floating to higher acuity units.
• Note: This position involves working during the flu season with mandatory mask policies if declining vaccination.
