Patient Service Representative

Patient Service Representative | The Plastic Surgery Group Primary location: Rookwood | Travel to West Chester and Northern Kentucky as needed Full-time preferred | Part-time considered The Plastic Surgery Group is one of Cincinnati's premier plastic and aesthetic surgery practices, with three locations across the region. We're looking for a warm, organized, and people-first Patient Service Representative to join our front office team. The Plastic Surgery Group is looking for a Patient Service Representative to support patients across multiple points of their visit experience. This is a rotating role that combines responsibilities from the front desk, check-out, and switchboard, so it is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable on the phone, and takes pride in delivering excellent service. What you'll do
- Welcome patients and create a friendly, professional first impression
- Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently
- Collect paperwork, verify information, and scan documents
- Run eligibility and collect co-pays, balances, and procedure fees
- Schedule and reschedule appointments
- Answer incoming calls, check voicemail, route calls, and take messages
- Support daily office flow, including email, faxing, and follow-up tasks
- Help maintain a clean, organized, patient-ready front office
- Assist with end-of-day balancing and other administrative support as needed
- Customer service experience with a positive, can-do attitude
- Healthcare or medical office experience preferred
- Ability to handle upset or frustrated patients with professionalism and care
- Comfortable spending a good portion of the day on the phone
- Comfortable with technology; EMR experience is a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy expectations is a plus
- Must be willing to occasionally cover our West Chester and Northern Kentucky locations
- Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Primary location: Rookwood (Cincinnati, OH), but must be willing to travel to West Chester and Northern Kentucky when coverage is needed.
- Full-time is preferred, but part-time candidates will also be considered.
