Purchasing Associate

Continuously improve through education, professional training, and certification Represent the company in a manner that supports our mission statement Train adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absence Take ownership of your hiring decisions Treat your co‑workers and clients with respect Communicate with honesty, openness, and transparency Act with integrity (honor your word), set the example, and be accountable Complete other duties as required/assigned Purchasing Associate Responsibilities: Generate and processes purchase orders Approves material invoices and reconciles with the purchase order Maintains records of goods ordered and received Negotiates prices and contracts with supplier Build and maintain relationships with vendors Select prospective vendors and negotiate pricing Evaluates vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price Ensures timely fulfillment of orders Evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services Coordinates with fellow associates to monitor inventory and determine supply needs Works with field personnel on material changes and unforeseen needs Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise Tracks excess and leftover materials for return or use on other projects Occasionally travels to vendor locations Position Requirements Include: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required Experience in wet utility construction or sales (Waterworks) required Experience using procurement software and databases Supervisory experience Excellent organizational skills Interpersonal skills Experience with BID to Win a plus Experience with KOJO a plus Details above are subject to change based on changes in Company Policies. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cardinal Civil Contracting, LLC
