Key Qualifications:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification (Indiana or eligible to obtain)
• Experience with elementary-aged students and life skills curriculum preferred
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and individualized learning

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a life skills classroom
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support the unique strengths and needs of each student
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, support staff, therapists, and families
• Monitor student progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings
• Create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment
