Only qualified Assembler candidates located near the Sparks, Maryland area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.

Required Education: High school diploma or GED with 3 years of manufacturing experience required. Associate of Arts (AA) Technical degree with 1 year of manufacturing experience accepted.

Required Experience: Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience with a high school diploma or GED or 1 year with an Associate of Arts (AA) Technical degree. Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment required. Experience assembling electromechanical or mechanical instruments and subassemblies. Experience with troubleshooting, rework, testing, and quality inspections. Experience following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality procedures. Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience working with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical tools including torque drivers, gauges, bits, hand tools, power tools, jigs, and saws. Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions. Ability to interpret measurements, dimensions, and tolerances. Experience with wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and mechanical assembly. Ability to perform component testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and prototype assembly. Basic computer proficiency and experience using Windows applications. Ability to read, write, analyze charts, follow diagrams, and perform basic arithmetic. Ability to perform material handling functions for raw materials and subassemblies.

Responsibilities: Assemble, integrate, and test instrument assemblies and subassemblies. Build complete instruments by integrating multiple product lines. Record device history including serial numbers, tools, and production documentation. Perform basic component testing and analyze results. Conduct quality inspections according to specifications. Identify defects and recommend process and design improvements. Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards. Train and support production associates as needed. Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and rework assemblies. Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams. Follow company specifications, operating procedures, safety policies, and GMP requirements. Perform material handling activities for production materials. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Work overtime as required to meet business needs. Perform other assigned duties.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to work in a repetitive manufacturing environment. Safety shoes required. Reliable transportation required as the facility is not near public transit. Ability to work overtime as needed.
