Concrete Plant Operator

The Concrete Plant Operator is responsible for manufacturing concrete that meets specifications, all maintenance of the concrete plant, scheduling onsite personnel, and communicating with plant personnel, management, suppliers, customers, and paving crews. Responsibilities Maintain efficient operation of consistent concrete production for major Highway/Airport paving Must have working knowledge of concrete plants, loaders, and the maintenance of equipment Knowledgeable in aggregate stockpile management Schedules and has an understanding of portable plant set‑up/tear down Manages plant personnel for production Follow all safety rules and regulations Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills Be able to communicate with all positions of the workforce Exhibit honesty and trustworthiness Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient use of computer software, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint Education/Experience High School Diploma 3 years of Concrete Production experience, or in a related field Experience in Plant Operation is preferred Work Environment/Physical Abilities The physical abilities of this position require the employee to be able to frequently sit, stand, climb, low level work, reaching, bending, and trunk movements. Also may require carrying, pushing/pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking. Lifting requirements may include up to 50 pounds.
