NICU Registered Nurse (RN)The NICU is a 26-bed, Level 3 unit staffed by a team of 48 dedicated professionals. The unit operates with two shifts – day and night, each with a charge nurse and a team of registered nurses alongside a patient care technician.Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AMWeekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedulePatient ratios may vary from 1:1 to 1:3 based on the acuity of the patients. The unit includes advanced equipment such as oscillators, Drager, NAVA, BCPAP, HHNC, as well as facilities for therapeutic hypothermia and surgery.Ideal candidates should possess the following abilities:Care for central lines and perform daily fluid changesManage patients with noninvasive ventilation (NIV) such as BCPAP and NAVACaring for infants post-surgery with ostomies and Broviac cathetersExperience in invasive ventilation is preferred.Assisting in surgeries (GI) at the bedside when necessaryCentral line placement assistanceChest tube insertionSuccessful candidates should exhibit excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with parents, and a strong willingness to collaborate with team members.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)STABLE certificationTravelers may be required to float to Mother/Baby with couplet care and Pediatrics as needed.Scrub Color: Navy BlueBare below the elbows is enforced in the NICU.
