About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of supporting and advocating for community banks. The CEO will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring the association's relevance and sustainability, and serving as the primary spokesperson and relationship-builder. This role requires a dynamic and credible leader with a strong commitment to member value, who can navigate the complex landscape of community banking, including regulatory and compliance issues, technology, and public policy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors, lead the association's financial strategy, and oversee the delivery of educational and industry services that meet the needs of member institutions. Applicants for the CEO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree or executive leadership certification preferred) and at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in banking, financial services, association management, or related fields. The role demands strong financial and operational management skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. Experience in advocacy, governmental affairs, or legislative engagement is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be adept at leading teams, managing complex initiatives, and delivering measurable results, with a proven track record of fostering a culture of responsiveness, professionalism, and continuous improvement. The CEO will be expected to travel extensively and be the public face of the association, representing its interests both within the state and nationally.
