Make an impact supporting students’ success by putting your expertise in Occupational Therapy and Assistive Technology to work in an engaging educational setting. In this dynamic, contract role, you’ll travel between schools within the district, serving as an invaluable resource for teams identifying and supporting students with unique needs. With two full-time opportunities available, this is your chance to help shape inclusive learning environments and foster student independence.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy licensure required
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of Assistive Technology—device selection, student assessment, implementation
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable with an itinerant (traveling within district) assignment
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for students requiring Assistive Technology supports and accommodations
- Develop, document, and adjust intervention plans to enhance student learning and participation
- Provide direct and consultative services to students, teachers, and staff on OT and Assistive Technology solutions
- Train staff and families on the effective use of recommended devices and strategies
- Maintain timely and compliant records of evaluations, plans, and services
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, sharing expertise to guide the team’s decisions
