Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring all systems and equipment are functioning optimally

- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems

- Lead and supervise the engineering team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations

- Respond promptly to maintenance issues and guest requests, ensuring minimal disruption

- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards or operational inefficiencies

- Manage the department’s budget, inventory, and procurement of supplies and equipment

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and hotel policies

- Collaborate with other departments to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction initiatives

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, or a related field

- Strong knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety protocols

- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

- Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency call-outs

- Relevant certifications or licenses in facilities management or engineering preferred
