Yard Clerk

Yard Clerk – 1st Shift Your Role on Our Team Role is responsible for data entry and clerical activities in the department. Role is responsible for proper record keeping of all incoming/outgoing yard traffic. Duties and Responsibilities Check trucks/trailers in and out of the yard, interacting with drivers and walking outside in all weather conditions. Check driver identification and confirm they are at the correct location. Verify driver had correct load paperwork. Apply and remove tags to trailers and containers. Verify trailers are empty. Verify seals on trailers/containers are intact and correct. Utilize Milwaukee software to check trucks in and out. Maintain yard security by keeping gates closed, verifying only authorized individuals enter the yard, and monitoring security cameras. Log vehicle traffic (other than truck/trailer) in and out of the yard, verify IDs (contractors, Milwaukee Tool employees, vendors, visitors, etc.), and inspect vehicles for Milwaukee product. Report security related issues and observations. Report transportation related issues. Direct vehicle and truck traffic to keep roadways unobstructed. Lock/unlock and close/open the guard shack and gates when shutting down and opening a yard (leadership). Direct emergency services when required. Perform other duties as assigned. The Tools You’ll Bring With You Requires education equivalent to four years of high school. Working knowledge of MS Office. Working Conditions Standing for long periods of time. Repetitive motion. Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of tools and boxes. Able to work in various temperature conditions. Operation of motorized and manual pallet jack.
