Shipping And Receiving Clerk

Location: Houma, La.

Responsibilities:

Check in material, enter system, and proper labelling on materials (ex. Customer, Job, & Location)

Notify of incorrect material to purchasing

Operate forklift, trucks, and trailers

Organize load outs

Keep all tools, gang boxes, trailers up to date with service and in working order

Keep shop, materials, and tool rooms organized & clean.

Coordinate staging of project material and return of unused project material

Manage paperwork associated with items mentioned above

Coordinate with purchasing and line managers for pickups and drop offs

Line up shop drivers for pickups and drop offs

Self-sufficient, completing duties with minimum supervision

Good communication skills

Competencies:

Attention to detail.
Strong initiative, initiative-taker, & self-thinker.
Ability to perform under pressure.
Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization.
Ability to work with a team and communicate with other functions.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of shipping/receiving experience.
Previous forklift experience required. Forklift certification is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Computer proficiency Ex. Word, Excel, & Outlook
