Equipment Coordinator

The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the receipt, organization, storage, and distribution of all company equipment, including firearms, ammunition, uniforms, radios, and other operational supplies. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and adherence to all safety and compliance standards.Key Responsibilities:Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming equipment, firearms, ammunition, uniforms, and related materials.Issue equipment to security personnel according to company protocols and record all transactions in inventory logs.Load and unload equipment deliveries and shipments safely.Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all items are stored securely and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.Track equipment assignments, returns, and maintenance needs.Coordinate with operations staff to fulfill equipment requests promptly.Perform periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify shortages or damaged items.Keep the equipment storage area organized, clean, and secure at all times.Comply with all safety, handling, and legal requirements for firearms and ammunition.Assist with uniform sizing, issuance, and returns.Perform minor equipment repairs and coordinate with vendors for larger maintenance needs.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).Prior experience in logistics, warehouse, or inventory control, preferably in a security, law enforcement, or military setting.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of safe handling procedures for firearms and ammunition (training provided if necessary).Proficiency with basic computer programs for inventory tracking.Schedule:Mon-Fri, 9am -5pmEducation, Licenses and Certifications RequiredMust possess a high school diploma or equivalentPass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicleExperience RequiredVerifiable work history if previously employed and must possess one or more of the following:Graduate of an accredited high school or a Certificate of Completion of General Education Development requirements; and meet one of the following experience / education requirements:Experience of 1 year as a security officer strongly preferredSkills RequiredAbility to follow ordersProficient computer skills including Microsoft OfficeEffective oral and written communication skillsActive listening skillsAbility to assess and evaluate situations effectivelyAbility to identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyAttention to detailOtherMust be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higherMust be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United StatesMust be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitorsMust have demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the publicMust be warm, engaging, charismatic; and possess a natural ability to develop rapport with others in an authentic and sincere mannerMust practice good judgment; high level of integrityMust be proactive; take initiative with minimal supervisionMust be resourceful; think critically and finds solutions even without the obvious resourcesMust be able to navigate challenging situations while remaining positiveSubject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by lawMust be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior militaryPhysical Requirements and EnvironmentEnvironment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heatMajor activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observingPhysical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting.
