About the Role We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Associate Manager (Level 4) who will perform both technical execution scope and functional manager responsibilities within the Theater Strike Weapon Systems (TSWS) and Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) portfolios. Anchored by the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program, the portfolio is undergoing rapid growth associated with multiple product lifecycle phases within CPS and several peer development program efforts. Key Responsibilities Working on advanced missile design, integration, testing, and analysis within a hypersonic weapon system program. Leveraging past experience in weapon system and missile system/subsystem development and analysis to shape current and future program execution. Collaborating with program managers, systems and software engineering, or engineering leaders to deliver component(s)/subsystem(s), designs, and analysis to programs. Providing programmatic direction to engineering staff and team(s), collaborating on execution, analysis, design/peer reviews. Applying proficiency in C++ and MATLAB to develop, verify, validate, and perform analysis; reviewing analysis artifacts of others; assessing data products; and delivering technical summary briefings. Communicating technical results effectively and working collaboratively across teams, working groups, review boards, and technical execution teams. Supporting Agile execution of programs and projects through proposals, planning/backlog development, product ownership, and staffing coordination. Developing and reviewing data packages, analysis, and presentations for working groups and review board submissions. Coordinating internal efforts and external elements to develop, verify, and validate complex simulations such as missile 6-DOF simulations and onboard flight algorithms to achieve weapon system performance. Evaluating system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verifying system and subsystem level requirements. Performing and aligning staff execution for critical studies, analyses, and test activities. Supporting program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers. Required Experience Successful applicants generally have at least 9+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Basic Qualifications B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Working knowledge of basic GNC related to weapons systems, GNC hardware products, GNC systems, advanced modeling and simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop or hardware integration testing. Current/Previous experience working with national team partner and/or subcontractor development, including build, test, and integration of hardware or software. Previous experience presenting to senior management, and customer team members through technical and program reviews. Demonstrated ability to lead engineers with diverse backgrounds across multiple geographic locations. Leadership skills and behaviors that align with Full Spectrum leadership (FSL) imperatives. Ability to travel to support job duties listed above. Desired Skills Professional experience with 9+ years applicable GNC focus associated with Weapon System product lifecycle. Experience operating in Linux environments including High Performance Computing usage. Experience with Agile development. Experience with technical task leadership, completion coordination, and collaborative development environment of integrated product teams with schedule or completion reporting. Experience in proposal development, cost and schedule development & ownership, and earned value reporting. Experience in Analysis, Documentation, Development, and intermediate work products Agile artifact peer reviews for task/scope completion. Security Clearance To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen. Interim Secret clearance is required to start employment. Selected candidates will be required to obtain, and maintain, a government issued Secret clearance for long term employment on this program. Security Clearance Level: Secret Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. This information is a general guideline only.
