Job Description As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Cypress, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. Position Type: Full Time / Swing Shift Pay Rate: $22.66 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:30 PM - 11:00 PMTue02:30 PM - 11:00 PMWed02:30 PM - 11:00 PMThur02:30 PM - 11:00 PMFri02:30 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local management and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the outer perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized behavior. Monitor entry and exit activity, assist with access control practices, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact. Support closing and opening routines, observe customer and employee activity, and provide visible presence throughout the location to help promote an orderly environment. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
