AMA-Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate patient care in a professional office environment. This role involves delivering psychosocial, physical, and general care tailored to patients' needs under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or physician. You will play a vital role in maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting communication among healthcare providers regarding patient conditions and diagnostic results.

Essential Job Functions:

• Deliver direct patient care under physician supervision, assess outcomes, and collaborate with healthcare team members as needed.
• Assist nursing and medical staff during routine exams and treatments for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
• Perform patient care duties with attention to age-appropriate standards and safety protocols to minimize healthcare errors.
• Promote a culture of safety and quality within the clinical setting.
• Apply knowledge of human growth and development to provide tailored care across the lifespan.

Education and Experience:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant recognized by the state is mandatory.
• Strong computer skills and typing accuracy are essential.
• Experience in urgent care and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems are preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and proficiency in taking patient vitals is advantageous.
