Join us at Andersen, and together, lets write the story of your success!/ph3The Role/h3pAn Associate in our Cost Segregation practice will gain experience working on engineering-based projects across a variety of industry sectors./ppIndustries served include hospitality, gaming, sports, entertainment, recreation, retail, restaurant, manufacturing, high-tech, life sciences, commercial and residential rental real estate, telecommunications, private wealth, and finance and banking./ppAn Associate will have opportunities to use their skillsets to complete depreciation analyses for newly constructed and acquired facilities, fixed asset valuations, insurance valuations, property tax analyses, and purchase price allocations for tax reporting and financial reporting./ppResponsibilities:/pulliUse MS Excel to produce spreadsheet models and draft supporting reports using MS Word;/liliPerform cost estimating (e.g., buildings, individual assets, equipment);/liliOrganize project data;/liliParticipate in client meetings and conduct in person or virtual site visits;/liliReceive training related to the federal and state tax laws, including Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS);/liliDevelop an understanding of the Cost Segregation Audit Techniques Guide;/liliReceive training on cost estimating databases;/liliReceive training on utilizing tax authority databases to address project issues and topics;/liliTrain, mentor and provide feedback on Interns;/liliTravel locally and across the U.S. (approximately 10% of the year); and/liliEngage in business development activities./li/ulpThe Requirements/pulliMinimum GPA: 3.0/liliAn undergraduate degree and/or relevant advanced degree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Structural), Construction Management, Architecture, Accounting or related degree;/liliA basic understanding of architectural drawings (e.g., blueprints);/liliIs self-motivated, takes initiative;/liliStrong analytical and critical thinking skills;/liliCompletes tasks with thoughtful attention to detail and accuracy;/liliAbility to effectively collaborate with diverse team members;/liliProficient at multi-tasking and prioritizing; and/liliProficient use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word./li/ulpCompensation and Benefits/ppOur firm offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being, growth, and long-term success of our people. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidates qualifications, experience, and skill set./ppBenefits : Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage. Employees may enroll in the firms 401(k) plan upon hire. We offer 160 hours of paid time off annually, along with twelve paid holidays each calendar year.
