The cover letter should address your specific interest in the position and outline experience that directly relate to this position.What You'll DoReporting to the Director for Design/University, you will have the following responsibilities:Evaluate course of action and make independent decisions on matters of significance within the scope of responsibilities, free from immediate direction.Develop architectural program statements and building programs for assigned capital projects.Evaluate proposals from consultants and participate in the selection process for assigned capital projects.Prepare and execute contracts for engaging professional consultant firms to develop and document assigned capital projects.Direct the activities of architects, engineers, interior designers, and other professionals retained for planning, programming and designing assigned capital complex projects. Conduct project meetings; responsible for project tracking and analysis.Develop and maintain the highest quality standards in architecture, while managing the design process for assigned capital projects.Advise clients and administrators and faculty on criteria for facility planning, building design, and construction.Prepare and oversee the preparation of graphics and narrative reports for assigned projects and make presentations of same. Review architectural and campus plans and make recommendations to assure compliance with regulatory agencies and University goals.Required Qualifications*Bachelor's degree in architecture.
