Certified Public Accountant

A leading Systems Integration and Technology Consulting firm with offices in Jackson, Mississippi; Knoxville, Tennessee; and Nashville, Tennessee, provides managed IT services, cybersecurity, networking, cloud solutions, and technology consulting to businesses throughout the Southeast. The company is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Accountant to join its Jackson, MS team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid- to senior-level accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of the accounting process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to sound financial decision-making within a growing technology company. Key Responsibilities Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Monitor cash flow and support financial planning initiatives. Coordinate with external accountants and auditors during tax preparation and year-end activities. Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency. Support leadership with financial reports, analysis, and special projects. Job Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or comparable ERP systems). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities independently. Preferred Qualifications CPA Experience in the technology, professional services, or managed services industry. Experience with project accounting and revenue recognition. Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-location organizations.
