Position Overview

This position is located in an acute care hospital offering exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be required to work night shifts (4x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00) and possess a strong background in labor and postpartum experience.

Key Details

• Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• Patient Ratios: 1:3
• Floating Requirements: Yes, between like units
• Daily Census: Specific figures available upon request.

Qualifications

• Certifications Required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
• Certifications Preferred: AWHONN Advanced
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in labor and postpartum
• Charting System: Experience with Epic required

Essential Skills

• Administration of blood and blood products
• Management of adult cardiac arrest
• Assist with high-risk deliveries
• Support for breastfeeding and lactation
• Newborn assessment and care
• Experience with postpartum hemorrhage and pre-eclampsia management
• Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams and assist with cesarean sections
• Effective communication and coordination with interdisciplinary teams

Work Environment

Notes

Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in assignment termination. If required for the assignment, communication devices will be provided at no cost. Module completion is mandatory before starting and on an annual basis.
