Speech Language Pathologist - Clinical Communicator
Elevate Communication in the Charm of North Carolina – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist
What if your next career path could transform the silent struggles into triumphant expressions? As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of North Carolina's most welcoming hubs, your role extends beyond treating communication and swallowing difficulties; it cultivates potential, restores self-esteem, and fosters genuine connections—helping everyone from young children utter their first syllables to older adults regain their independence.
This position presents a remarkable opportunity to work with individuals of all ages in an environment that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient care. Whether your interests lie in supporting childhood language acquisition, addressing adult neurogenic communication challenges, or assisting elderly patients with cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, there's a place for your expertise here.
Description
- Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing standard assessments and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans that meet both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to establish a unified approach to care.
- Provide guidance and education to patients and families to support their progress beyond clinical sessions.
- Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure continuity throughout treatment.
- Maintain precise and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Engage with ongoing education and team collaboration to stay updated in the field.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
Skills
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, coupled with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Capability to modify therapeutic approaches to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment and effective problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
Benefits
- Attractive salary that reflects experience.
- Flexible scheduling designed to promote a healthy work-life balance and diverse patient caseloads.
- Chance to focus on specializations in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
- Paid time off (PTO) and holiday benefits.
- Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Support for continuing education and professional development initiatives.
- Work in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere that emphasizes top-quality care and lifelong learning.
A Journey That Moves You Forward
In this esteemed role, you won't simply administer speech therapy; you'll become a pivotal player in a mission to reclaim individuals' voices, enhance communication, and engender joy through the power of understanding.
You'll join a group of clinicians who operate as a family, targeting collaboration over competition. Every patient presents a narrative; we trust you to assist in telling it.

Who We Are Looking For
We seek a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated not solely by clinical success but also by compassion. An individual who perceives a shy child and imagines their future of expression, who hears the hesitant speech of a stroke survivor and recognizes the resolve behind those words.
You might be someone who has honed your skills in pediatrics looking to embrace adult communication services—or a specialist in neurorehabilitation seeking to weave early intervention strategies into your practice.
Whatever your area of enthusiasm, if you're eager to serve with heart and lead with expertise, we eagerly await your arrival.
Let's Craft the Ideal Story Together
If you believe speech is more than mere sounds, and therapy transcends tasks—if you're devoted to establishing trust before pursuing goals, and to celebrating the joy of communication—this could be the next chapter in your professional narrative.
Join us in a community that reveres communication, connection, and the bravery it takes to begin anew. Apply now to share your passion with our team—helping others discover their own voices.
