Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM

Position Summary

QuickPro Staffing is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Production Associate to support daily production, material handling, shipping, receiving, and quality control activities in a steel manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and willing to learn to operate production and material-handling equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive, stack, store, ship, and transfer materials and supplies.
• Band materials coming off production machines.
• Identify and properly label materials.
• Inspect products for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Use an internal ERP system to receive and track materials.
• Follow all plant safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Follow established setup and operating procedures to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Operate entry-level production equipment after training.
• Process, package, and ship orders accurately.
• Inspect products for defects or damage.
• Examine outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Receive, unload, and properly place incoming inventory.
• Check, verify, and complete customer invoices as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and cleanup activities throughout production areas.
• Identify and communicate opportunities to improve or optimize production processes.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks as trained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent work habits.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Self-motivated with a high level of personal accountability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry.
• Mechanically inclined and production-oriented.
• Ability and willingness to learn to operate a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and other material-handling equipment.
• Previous warehouse, production, manufacturing, or steel industry experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
• Overhead crane experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the facility.
• Ability to sit and work at a computer when required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Ability to visually inspect products, materials, and machinery.
• Ability to safely perform job duties in a manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a steel slitting/manufacturing facility.
• Position involves working around production machinery, hand tools, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.
• The production floor is not climate controlled and may be hot or cold depending on the season.
• Required PPE includes steel-toe or composite-toe shoes, arm guards, gloves, and safety glasses.
• Employees must follow all facility safety requirements and PPE guidelines.

Regular and reliable attendance is required. Employees must be willing to learn, understand, and follow all company safety rules, policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
