Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Bilingual Educational Diagnostician in a dynamic, contract-based role supporting elementary schools in the Mesquite area. You will play an essential part in evaluating students from Pre-K through 5th grade, collaborating closely with teams to ensure that every learner receives the best educational plan possible. This itinerant position involves working across multiple elementary campuses with a consistent, manageable caseload, allowing you to focus on quality student interactions.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Active Texas classroom teaching certificate
• At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience
• Successful completion of the Texas state certification exam for educational diagnosticians
• Previous experience in a school-based setting
• Fluent in both Spanish and English (required)
• Prepared to complete fingerprinting clearance if not already done through TEA

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough educational evaluations for students in Pre-K to 5th grade
• Manage a caseload of approximately 9-10 students per month
• Attend and contribute actively to ARD meetings
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop comprehensive educational plans
• Serve as a resource to school staff regarding best practices for assessment and eligibility
• Document evaluation findings and maintain compliance with state requirements

This full-time opportunity runs from early August through early June (school year schedule), with a 37.5-hour workweek (7.5 hours per day) and varied assignments across several elementary schools.
