Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for a Bilingual Educational Diagnostician fluent in both Spanish and English, passionate about helping Pre-K through 5th grade students thrive. The position offers a varied, itinerant schedule across multiple elementary schools in the Garland, TX area, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving campus needs. You’ll work closely with a caseload of 9-10 students per month, conducting evaluations and participating in ARD meetings to ensure each child receives tailored, effective educational support.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree required
• Texas classroom teaching certificate
• Minimum of 3 years full-time classroom teaching experience
• Successful completion of the state certification exam for educational diagnosticians
• Previous experience working within a school-based setting
• Spanish and English fluency required
• Must complete TEA fingerprinting unless recently cleared through another Texas public school district

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations for Pre-K to 5th grade students
• Effectively manage an itinerant caseload, moving between assigned elementary schools
• Collaborate in ARD meetings, contributing valuable insights to support student success
• Document findings and recommendations in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Partner with teachers and families to communicate student needs and advocate for appropriate services

This position offers a consistent weekly schedule, running from August 3, 2026, to June 4, 2027, with 37.5 hours per week onsite at elementary campuses. All credentialing must be fulfilled prior to start date to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
