Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This on-site, full-time opportunity near Dallas, TX is your chance to teach, support, and empower learners across several campuses. The assignment spans the full academic year, from July 30, 2026, through May 28, 2027, providing a consistent schedule and substantial professional fulfillment.

You’ll be providing invaluable instruction to a caseload of 12-15 students—including at least three homebound individuals—while traveling between approximately six district campuses as an itinerant Teacher of the Visually Impaired. Expect a dynamic and fluid workload, as student and campus assignments may adjust throughout the year to meet evolving needs.

Qualifications:

• Active Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TSVI) licensure required
• Experience teaching students who are visually impaired in a school setting
• Ability and willingness to work onsite (no virtual/remote options)
• Strong organizational and communication skills for collaborating with campus teams and families
• Flexibility for serving multiple campuses and adapting to shifting caseloads

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
• Adapt curriculum and materials to ensure accessibility for each learner
• Provide direct services to both in-person and homebound students
• Consult with general and special education staff to integrate best practices
• Monitor progress, maintain records, and complete all required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
