About the Opportunity - Accounts Receivable Specialist

Our client, a respected equipment sales and service organization, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team. This position plays a critical role in managing accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer service while supporting company cash flow objectives.

Key Responsibilities - Accounts Receivable Specialist

Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
Process and apply customer payments, wire transfers, ACH transactions, and checks.
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past-due balances.
Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment arrangements.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and account issues.
Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate account records.
Collaborate with sales, service, and accounting teams to resolve invoicing concerns.
Prepare AR reports and provide updates on collection activities.
Assist with month-end closing processes and audit preparation.
Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Qualifications - Accounts Receivable Specialist

2+ years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or related accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, cash application, and account reconciliation.
Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience in equipment distribution, manufacturing, construction, or industrial industries is a plus.
Stable work history and a commitment to accuracy and professionalism.
