Intermediate District 287 is looking for orientation and mobility specialists for openings this summer with itinerant services!

Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K-12, as well as transition age students (18-22 years old), from our 12 member districts in the west metro area. Our district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs, primarily focused on setting IV special education, that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. Position details:

Local 2209 salary schedule A: $37.53 - $69.19 per hour (depending on experience and education) This is a temporary position for summer ESY programs only. Hours will follow a flexible calendar based on individual student and district needs from June through August.

Requirements:

• Interested in candidates who are: diverse, bilingual, or have experience working with diverse populations
• Bachelor's degree in orientation and mobility from an accredited college or university
• Advanced degree in orientation and mobility is preferred
• Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Education in orientation and mobility
• An additional license in vision impairment is preferred
• National certification from Association for Education and Rehabilitation of Blind/Visually Impaired (AER)
• Valid Minnesota driver's license is required
