As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol utility-related locations, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a utility infrastructure location. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and support emergency response activities as directed. Prepare clear incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and security-related information to supervisors and site representatives. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A Guard Card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
