About the Rehabilitation Institute at Sinai


Located within Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, the Rehabilitation Institute at Sinai is a nationally recognized leader in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Our interdisciplinary team of more than 30 specialized therapists provides individualized care plans utilizing advanced therapeutic technologies to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence.

Position Summary


Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides safe, compassionate, and age-appropriate patient care within a specialized rehabilitation setting. The CNA supports patients throughout their recovery journey by assisting with daily living activities, promoting comfort, and contributing to a safe and healing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care, including morning and evening care, bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and oral hygiene
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment by changing linens, tidying bedside areas, and restocking supplies
• Promote patient comfort by adjusting beds, providing blankets and pillows, and ensuring patients have access to fresh water
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized patient treatment goals
• Observe and communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the appropriate care team members
• Follow all safety protocols, infection prevention guidelines, and patient care standards

Qualifications


Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Less than one (1) year of direct clinical experience
