Your mission is to ensure three core commitments are fulfilled for every child in your cohort: they genuinely enjoy school, they learn twice as fast, and they acquire capabilities no traditional textbook provides. You will also mentor the Guides who uphold these same commitments throughout your campus. Data informs every choice, and every interaction is in‑person. You divide your time between your own student cohort and the Guides under your leadership. The expectation is identical for both: documented progress, without exception. When a Guide’s session underperforms, you don’t draft a memo; you observe, discuss, and resolve it that same afternoon. As the campus evolves, your emphasis transitions from operational startup leader to coaching executive, cultivating the team that expands Alpha’s approach across your area. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour interactive life skills and social‑emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K‑8 students covering topics such as public speaking and concentration, adhering to Alpha’s established playbook Conducting daily motivational sessions that propel 100% of students toward their weekly application targets using developmentally appropriate incentives including school currency and leaderboards Developing Guides through direct observation, focused feedback, and practical coaching so they execute sessions with equivalent energy and accuracy Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to pinpoint those requiring intervention, then personally addressing their needs Directly mentoring your designated student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you require from every Guide What You Won’t Be Doing Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress via adaptive apps; your responsibility is to make the people supporting them exceptional Delivering lectures before a traditional classroom. You’re 80% performer, 20% content expert; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this role isn’t suitable Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or school leadership. If a student achieves 99%, the response is “not yet” – and you’ll receive full support to maintain that position Working from an office processing administrative documents. The majority of your day involves direct engagement with students and Guides Waiting weeks to receive performance updates. Basic Requirements Currently residing in or prepared to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available) Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master’s preferred; conventional teaching certifications are not required) Minimum 5 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or a comparable field Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training initiatives Proven history of managing a team of 5 or more individuals, including recruitment and performance‑based dismissal decisions Experience providing coaching, mentorship, or actionable feedback to enhance engagement and results Experience supporting youth aged 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts Capability in leveraging data and analytics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement Legal authorization to work in the United States Nice‑to‑have Requirements Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or Business Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program coordinator where you directly inspired children to achieve quantifiable goals Background coaching adults in positions where their output was measured and evaluated Ease performing before large groups of children. Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
