Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including the review of medical history, specific physical assessments, and formulation of personalized treatment plans.
• Communicate assessment findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, actively involving them in goal-setting processes to promote better outcomes.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols based on ongoing evaluations, patient feedback, and evidence-based practices to meet changing health care demands.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, recognizing and reporting changes in patients' conditions that necessitate adjustments in care plans or further medical evaluations.
• Manage discharge planning and ensure comprehensive follow-up care, maintaining meticulous documentation throughout the patient journey, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and final assessments.
• Maintain productivity standards while effectively managing time and scheduling to ensure timely patient care delivery.
• Contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives by participating in team meetings and hospital/community outreach initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities, supporting personal growth and competency advancement.
• Drive initiatives to improve patient access and outcomes through innovative projects and collaboration with the Access NRH initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Ortholand Therapy Center, you will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or managing chronic conditions. Your role will involve addressing various physical challenges and developing tailored rehabilitation plans that cater to the individual needs of each patient, ensuring the highest standards of therapeutic care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active licensure to practice Physical Therapy as required by the state of Florida.
• Current certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide the best patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Experience in home health care or outpatient therapy environments is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
