Outside Sales Representative - Industrial Motors & Drives [Remote]

Home-Based Field Sales – Opportunities Across the United States The Opportunity ESR Motor Systems is looking for experienced electric motor salespeople with strong industrial relationships in their local markets to develop and grow territories across the United States. We are looking for proven salespeople who know their market, understand motor and drive applications, and have relationships that can help generate meaningful business quickly. Depending on your location, you may extend the reach of an existing ESR branch or establish ESR in a new market. Successful territory development could lead to local inventory, additional personnel, a future ESR stocking location, and sales or branch leadership opportunities. If you have strong industrial relationships in a market where ESR does not currently have a physical location, we especially want to hear from you. This is a home-based, field-sales position. You must live within the territory you propose to develop and travel regularly throughout the market. ESR provides a strong electric motor line card, significant inventory, experienced inside-sales support, technical expertise, multiple stocking locations, and leadership willing to invest in markets with strong potential. What You’ll Do

• Develop profitable new business with industrial customers in your local market.
• Leverage established relationships while continuing to open new accounts.
• Spend meaningful time at customer facilities understanding operations, equipment, maintenance challenges, and opportunities.
• Sell industrial electric motors, variable frequency drives, gearboxes, and related power-transmission products.
• Use ESR’s inventory, technical resources, and manufacturer relationships to solve problems and win business.
• Own the customer relationship, follow opportunities through completion, and maintain an accurate CRM pipeline.
• Help ESR evaluate the market for future personnel, inventory, or a stocking location.

Requirements

• Successful outside sales experience in the industrial electric motor industry.
• Strong working knowledge of industrial electric motors and their applications.
• Working knowledge of variable frequency drives and related products.
• Meaningful existing relationships with industrial customers in the market you propose to develop.
• Demonstrated ability to open accounts and generate profitable new business.
• Strong sense of urgency, responsiveness, accountability, and follow-through.
• Ability to independently manage a home-based sales territory.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.
• Residency within the market you propose to develop.

Compensation

• Base salary: $75,000–$100,000
• Expected first-year total compensation: $110,000–$150,000
• Guaranteed minimum total compensation for the first 12 months, beginning at $100,000 and determined individually
• Uncapped commission based primarily on gross profit
• Full reimbursement of reasonable business expenses
• Company-provided phone and laptop
• Eligibility for a company vehicle based on sustained sales performance

ESR sales representatives with mature, high-performing territories regularly earn $150,000–$200,000 or more. Benefits
