We are conducting a proactive and confidential search for an experienced General Manager for a future opportunity within our independent lifestyle hotel portfolio. Note on Location: This posting lists our Chevy Chase, MD corporate office for administrative purposes only. This role is not based there. The position will be located at one of our lifestyle hotel properties within our U.S. portfolio, which spans markets across California, Washington D.C., Florida, Montana, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia . Specific property and location details will be shared with candidates as the search progresses. Our portfolio includes distinctive, independent, and experience-led hotels and resorts where the General Manager is expected to operate as an entrepreneurial business leader—not simply an on-property administrator. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial and operational discipline with an instinct for creating memorable guest experiences, building highly engaged teams, and protecting the individuality of the property. This leader will be comfortable working closely with ownership, operating with appropriate autonomy, and translating a hotel’s unique sense of place into sustained financial performance, service excellence, and local relevance. For the right leader, this role offers full ownership of hotel operations, including responsibility for financial results, guest satisfaction, revenue generation, team development, brand positioning, and property culture. The General Manager will lead through visibility, accountability, and authenticity while ensuring the hotel consistently exceeds guest and owner expectations. This is a full‑time, exempt, on‑site hotel operations position reporting to the Vice President of Operations. The anticipated salary range is $100,000–$150,000 , commensurate with the assigned property, market, scope of responsibility, and candidate experience. A company that has a culture of promoting from within. What You Will Be Doing Own all areas of the operation, including front office, food & beverage, housekeeping, engineering, sales & events. Lead through your leadership team to maximize financial performance while upholding quality standards, maximizing levels of guest satisfaction, and maintaining colleague engagement. Direct the development and execution of the annual strategic plan, the annual budget, and operations plan, emphasizing balanced growth and consistent profitability. Communicate the direction and purpose of all initiatives, resulting in colleague & leader ownership, pride, and desired results. Achieve and maintain superior balanced scorecard results (revenue, STR, GOP, guest experience, colleague engagement, asset maintenance, etc.), with an unrelenting desire to exceed previous outcomes. Inspire and motivate your leaders and colleagues to foster a guest‑focused and results‑oriented environment. Deliver best‑in‑class guest service and satisfaction by executing against the Lifestyle + Luxury Ethos, through avenues such as training, survey analysis, feedback, and incentive programs. Manage the property for financial performance, working with the on‑site and corporate teams to prepare materials and communicate results with hotel stakeholders. What You Bring To The Table Minimum 5 years’ experience in different management positions in the hospitality industry and have held a senior leadership role (Hotel Manager or Assistant General Manager - preferred) at a hotel for at least two years. Experience managing independent hotels, F&B operations & Experience Programming. A track record of achieving and maintaining superior results across all areas of the hotel and can articulate the underlying strategies that led to your achievements. Thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry, have a strong financial background, sound administrative skills, well developed management skills, and have demonstrated ability to effectively lead. A passion for hospitality will be apparent from speaking with you; you naturally connect with colleagues and guests. A love to inspire and motivate your team while focusing on learning and development, giving and receiving feedback. Bachelor’s degree in business management, Hotel management, or equivalent experience preferred. Working knowledge of accounting systems, property management systems and housekeeping products and procedures, as well as Microsoft Office. Familiarity with OSHA, SB198, local Department of Health regulations, and relevant current laws governing handling of hazardous substances. Ability to speak Spanish or other languages is preferred.
